The major regeneration of Rathbone Market, in the London Borough of Newham, has kicked off with the first phase of the scheme awarded to Sisk.

Sisk will deliver the full design and construction of Plot One, a £47.9m development providing a 271 apartment mixed use retail and residential development within four buildings. 

The overall regeneration scheme will transform the area, creating a vibrant and sustainable, mixed-use development for this historic market area of London.

Sisk is supporting the local community by sponsoring the transformation of a vacant retail unit alongside the site into modest artist studios exclusively for Young Newham Artists (YNAs). The programme for 16 - 19 year olds has been designed to give Newham’s talent the necessary skills and experience to kick start a career in the creative industries.

The buildings will comprise high-rise blocks of 21 storeys, 12 storeys, 8 storeys and 6 storeys. Retail units, car parking and associated office suites and landscaping also form part of the contract.
