Design and build project to deliver a 50,000m² warehouse and office facility for this catering and janitorial supplier

Sisk met numerous design challenges with innovative solutions on this project, including a requirement to provide a 60m clear span and engineer racking with leg loads over 90KN.

John Sisk & Son proposed and implemented a range of innovative engineering proposals to accelerate the build programme and reduce build cost, including:-

• Use of a CAB (Clean Air Blanket) system in lieu of traditional vented gas membrane below the ground floor slab

• Use of large bay steel fibre reinforced concrete suspended ground floor steels and external yard slab

• Optimising the slab and supporting pile layout to dramatically reduce number of piles needed

• Use of composite roof sheets in place of traditional built up system
