John Sisk & Son completes expansion at Ashfield House

Pharmaceutical services provider Ashfield In2Focus has moved into its new training and management facilities following the completion of a new extension at its international headquarters in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.

John Sisk & Son initially built Ashfield House in 2002 and were subsequently awarded the contract for the expansion as the growing business required additional space and facilities at the site.

The building provides an inspirational and modern Californian-style office environment, set into landscaped grounds standing out from traditional business park developments. The expansion package comprised seven sections of work including refurbishment of the existing building and a two storey extension, featuring a 650m2 Penthouse.

Steve Carden, Director of Regional Business at John Sisk & Son, commented:

“This was a fantastic opportunity for John Sisk & Son to continue working on an innovative and challenging project. The extension and external works required highly specialised skills from our team, while the refurbishment work involved demanding project management in order to ensure minimum disruption to the live office environment.”

High specification internal works have provided a new restaurant, training rooms, which are fitted with state-of-the-art communications and technology for training and conferencing solutions. Reconfigured reception and welfare facilities feature bespoke joinery items and finishes, exposed steel frame and acoustic partitions. Additional external works included modifications to the existing undercroft parking area and the installation of a car park ‘stacking system’ to maximise the use of space for fleet car storage.
