St Mary Axe contract awarded to John Sisk & Son
John Sisk & Son has secured a £12m refurbishment and extension project at 63 St Mary Axe from property investment firms Moorevale and Rockspring, to provide high quality commercial office space in the heart of the City of London.
A 48 week programme of work will entail the full refurbishment and fit out of existing office space at 63 St. Mary Axe as well as a two floor extension enlarging the building to 85,000 sq. ft.
The building will offer an excellent working environment whilst meeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standards for sustainability.
Work begins on The Shard’s hotel in the sky
Hong Kong based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has selected British contractor John Sisk & Son to fit out their luxury new hotel, with work already underway. Housed in Europe’s tallest building at 1017 feet, the five star hotel will occupy floors 34-52 out of a total of 72, with public spaces, restaurants and 500,000 sq ft of office space below it and 62,000 sq ft of residential apartments and a public observatory above.

John Sisk & Son donation helps conservation of historic church
St. George’s Garrison Church in Woolwich, London, will be given a new lease of life and will have a bigger role in the community following confirmation of funding for a much needed restoration and conservation project.
John Sisk & Son, a contractor which has been working on projects in the local area, has contributed to the overall total needed for the work, which will be overseen by the Heritage of London Trust Operations.
