Shangri-La Hotel, The Shard

Europe’s tallest skyscraper The Shard will house Shangri-La’s first hotel in the UK. This prestigious and exclusive hotelier has 72 five star hotels across the globe and is regarded as one of the world’s finest hotel companies.

Sisk are delighted to be working in partnership with this esteemed hotelier to deliver the fit-out  of 202 guest rooms and suites across 18 floors, including a luxury spa, fitness facility, restaurant, ‘food theatre’ café and bars, together with function rooms with a seating capacity of 400.

Its guest rooms will be amongst the largest in London, with selected suites featuring glass- enclosed ‘winter garden’ balconies. Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the London cityscape and experience fine dining in its restaurant.

Working on floors 34-52 of a 1017 feet high building with restricted access and storage space requires exceptional project management and logistical organisation from our team to elevate the materials and fittings to the hotel, and operate collaboratively alongside other contractors working on the rest of the building.
