The Crown Estate, Regent Street

As part of The Crown Estate's re-development of Regent Street, this project comprised the conversion of a Grade II listed theatre building into a new flagship store for Habitat.

The listed features of the theatre were preserved and enhanced including extensive restoration and reinstatement of fibrous plaster finishes. New raised floors were installed to level of the previously inclined auditorium floor and a terraced floor structure was installed on top of the old theatre stalls.

The original theatre organ, a 1925 Wurlitzer, was also fully restored to full working condition and is now on display in the new Habitat store.
